How to qualify for a Florida Learner's Permit
- Applicants must be age 15-17
- Successfully pass Florida's Traffic Law Substance Abuse Education course. Check our Classes page for an online version of this course

Learner's Permit Driving Restrictions
- You must always be accompanied by a licenced driver over 21 years of age
- You are only allowed to drive during daylight hours for the first three months
- After three months, you are allowed to drive till 10 pm
- You must drive for 50 hours - including 10 hours of night driving - to qualify for a class E license.
- You must hold your licence for a minimum or 12 months or until your 18th birthday
