This is the Behind the Wheel demonstration performed by the applicant required PASSING to be issued a Florida Drivers License. This demonstration consists of basic minimum level skills: quick stop, reverse backing, 3 point turn, straight in parking and parking on grade. The street immersion course could include: highway, lane changing, merging, intersection traffic and the ability to determine correct signal permissions. *Students must hold a Florida learners permit for 1 year from the date of issuance (unless 18 or older) prior to testing. All results are automatically uploaded to the FLHSMV and license should be collected from the DMV within two weeks to avoid a retest subject to applicable fees. This service is performed at either location 747 Jenks Avenue in Panama City or 1992 Lewis Turner Blvd in Ft Walton Beach. *Panama City is by appointment only and Ft Walton is a self booking online.
Completion of driving Instruction with Emerald Coast Driving School does not guarantee the passing of the RSE-road skills exam with the DMV or any Third Party Administrator.
Prior to the exam, the Third Party Administrator must notify the applicant and parent or guardian that the applicant may be selected for re-examination at the driver license or tax collector office. “ALL APPLICANTS ARE SUBJECT TO RANDOM SELECTION FOR RE-EXAMINATION AT THE DRIVER LICENSE OR TAX COLLECTOR OFFICE PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF ANY LICENSE. FAILURE TO PASS THE RANDOM RE-EXAM WILL REQUIRE THE APPLICANT TO PASS THE DRIVING SKILLS EXAM PRIOR TO LICENSE ISSUANCE”
